# Adamant Protocol

> A Layer 1 blockchain protocol — privacy by default, post-quantum cryptography, sub-second finality. No foundation, no premine, no admin keys, no on-chain governance.

Adamant is a base-layer settlement chain. It is the conjunction of seven properties that no existing programmable chain delivers in combination: privacy by default, post-quantum security, ≥50,000 TPS throughput floor, sub-second finality, encrypted mempool, phone-verifiability, and residential-fibre decentralisation.

The protocol is in the specification phase. There is no live chain. The whitepaper is the source of truth.

## Key parameters

- Genesis pool: 100,000,000 ADM, partitioned 70 / 30 between burn-to-mint and validator block rewards
- Burn-to-mint rate: 20 ADM minted per USD-equivalent of BTC, ETH, USDT, or USDC burned
- Active set: floor 7, ceiling 75 at launch (FCFS with mutual-consent transferable membership)
- Stake floors: 1,000 ADM Node Runner, 100 ADM Node Watcher (re-evaluated every 5 years per WP §11.5.4)
- Throughput floor: ≥ 50,000 TPS at the launch active-set ceiling on residential-fibre commodity hardware
- Finality target: ~500 ms for owned-object transactions
- Cryptography: Ed25519 + ML-DSA (FIPS 204) hybrid signatures, ML-KEM-768 (FIPS 203) key agreement, BLS12-381 aggregation, SHA-3 hashing, Halo 2 proofs, Wesolowski VDF time-lock
- Mempool: two-regime — threshold-encrypted at N≥15 validators, time-lock VDF at N<15
- Genesis cohort: first 75 validators receive a permanent on-chain marker (non-transferable) plus a freely tradeable Genesis NFT (WP §8.1.9)
- Slot transferability: validator slots are transferable by mutual consent (WP §8.1.8); the cohort marker remains attached to the original address

## What Adamant is not

- Not a token launch — no premine, no foundation allocation, no investor round
- Not a smart-contract platform — does not host arbitrary computation
- Not a governance system — no on-chain governance, no admin keys
- Not a scaling layer — base layer, not a rollup or sidechain
- Not a privacy add-on — privacy is structural, not opt-in
- Not novel cryptography — primitives are standard, peer-reviewed, audited
